Join the experienced volunteers from River City Chickens to learn about the positive roles chickens play in urban communities and what it takes to raise chickens in your own backyard. Topics covered in this class include bylaw requirements; coop design; winter care and precautions; food, water and care requirements; waste management; breeds and buying hens; health care and biosecurity; end of life plans.
