Gardens and Collections

The University of Alberta Botanic Garden’s diverse collection, comprised of thousands of unique plants, features a wide diversity of ornamentals, fruits, vegetables, trees and shrubs, with an emphasis on plants suited to the extremes of a northern climate. Collections are organized to display and interpret ecosystems, habitats and the relationships between people and plants, in addition to being aesthetically pleasing.
