Marion Shipley Memorial Garden
The Marion Shipley Memorial Garden features perennials and changing annual displays. Marion Shipley was a founding member of the Friends of the Garden and DBG Crafters Association, and played an important role in fundraising for projects, including the Kurimoto Japanese Garden.

Primula Dell
One of the first gardens created at the DBG, this charming area contains many different perennials, including a large variety of primroses (Primula spp.). Dell is an old English word which means ‘tree-lined hollow’.

Desert Plant Garden
Constructed in the mid-sixties, the Desert Plant Garden is one of the DBG’s earliest developed collections. Located on a natural sand dune, the Desert Plant Garden is the perfect home for drought-tolerant species.
