Kids in the Garden Programs

Kids in the Garden Field Trips
Help your students discover the wonder of nature at the University of Alberta Botanic Garden.
The award-winning Kids in the Garden environmental education programs engage students in Grades K-12 with hands-on, interactive outdoor activities. In our half- or full-day curriculum-based field trips, students might hike natural forests and wetlands, catch an insect or a frog, hug a tree, or become a pollinating bee. All will deepen their connections to the natural world, led by the Garden’s trained naturalists.

Kids in the Garden Birthday Parties
Our children’s birthday party packages will provide lasting memories for your child and their friends, and a stress-free day for you! All parties are nature-based, 1.5 hour programs with a trained interpreter. Catering and gift-bag options available. Available for booking May through early fall.

Kids in the Garden Summer Camps
Spend the week on an outdoor adventure at our nature-based summer day camps; perfect for kids ages 3-12.
